The helmet is made of ABS material that is shock-absorbing and distributes the energy generated upon impact to properly protect the head by spreading the force over the helmet.
The inner shell is made of EPS (expanded polystyrene) which absorbs energy by compressing upon strong contact. This means the inner shell becomes firmer after a fall and therefore does not offer the same protection a second time.
It is therefore important to replace your helmet after a fall (applies to all helmets on the market).
The 4 ventilation holes at the front and 2 at the back offer good air circulation to keep you comfortable under the helmet.
The Eclipse sun shield is designed to provide the user with protection against sunlight and bad weather while keeping the view unobstructed.
