Flex-On was developed after it was noted that the riders' own anatomy was easily forgotten while much focus was placed on the horse's legs and skeleton. The combination of technology and ideas led to Flex-On.

In addition, there are also two different grip plates to choose from for the two different inclinations of the footplate. Either with the regular grip that is grooved and provides a good hold, or with Ultra Grip which has small metal spikes that provide an incredibly good hold regardless of the weather. The footplate rests on two Shock-Absorbers that reduce the shocks that the joints receive during all riding, but perhaps especially in jumping and eventing. These are available in 14 different colors and are chosen in the article's color selection. Safe-On is a safety stirrup that releases in the event of a fall. The outer side then opens and releases the foot under heavy pressure.
