Elegant and safe, two words that well describe the riding helmet OneK Defender Pro Matt Chrome Pipe. The matte seamless surface and the matte piping together with the chromed logo on the front make the helmet very stylish without being boring in any way. Very good ventilation through ventilation holes on the sides, front, and back. The chin strap is comfortable and stable to keep the helmet in place even if an accident should occur.
Research shows that helmets with an integrated MIPS system protect better against angled impacts than helmets without the safety system. All OneK riding helmets are made of an advanced injection-molded outer shell in Polycarbonate and ABS composite, combined with an EPS liner that has several functions, the liner acts both as shock absorption but also makes the helmet adjustable in size and easy to keep clean.
About Mips The MIPS system is designed to best imitate the head's own safety system. The brain can, in cases where the head is subjected to angled impacts (rotations), move in the fluid present in the head and thus reduce the force that the brain would otherwise be subjected to in the event of a fall or blow. MIPS helmets are designed with the same technology in mind, where the integrated low-friction layer on the inside of the helmet is meant to absorb the energy that could otherwise cause brain injuries.
Size The size of the helmet is based on the circumference of the head, to choose the right size of the liner see the table below. Each liner covers two helmet sizes (cm) and comes in round or oval form. For example, size L in the liner fits a shell with size 2 (Large), while XS fits both a shell with size 0 (Small) and a shell in size 1 (Medium).
Liner with a round shape is absolutely the most common and is the one you choose if you are unsure of your head shape. Note that sizes XXXS, XXS, and XXL are only available in round form. The padding is NOT included when purchasing the helmet.
