Swales with port and long shank, from Beris.
Swales resembles a pelham bit, but a swales bit is always used with double reins. The cheek pieces are attached to the large bit ring while the chain is attached to the shank part, which means there is no poll pressure.
Due to the construction method, choose 1 cm longer. The port provides the horse's tongue with enough space thanks to the flat part on the port. Many horses respond to this by relaxing and starting to chew.
The bit is therefore perfect for horses that do not tolerate pressure on the tongue and for those who tend to put the tongue over the bit.
Port: 30 mm
Thickness: 18 mm
